First-time setup checklist
Follow these steps in order. Each one unlocks the next: you cannot build a labor forecast without a labor matrix, and you cannot build a labor matrix without job positions.
You need the admin role for every step on this page. If Admin is not in your left sidebar, ask an existing admin to change your role in People and roles.

How to verify
- Go to Forecasting in the left sidebar.
- The Getting Started checklist at the top of the page shows a green check for each completed prerequisite (locations, hours, day parts, job positions, labor matrix).
- Any step still showing grey is incomplete. Click it to jump straight to the page that fixes it.

Practice on staging first
Every configuration step is available on https://dev-staging-unitops.datalakehouse.io. Configuration made on staging does not affect production, so it is the right place to rehearse a change such as a labor matrix rewrite.
